Health and Wellness

  • The Apple Watch includes advanced health features such as an ECG app, which allows users to take electrocardiogram readings directly from the watch, a feature that received FDA clearance starting with the Series 4.
  • It also features a blood oxygen monitor (though this is not available on units sold in the U.S. on or after January 18, 2024).
  • The Heart Rate app provides notifications for high or low heart rates and irregular heart rhythms, including atrial fibrillation (AFib).
