What Credit Benchmark Does
Credit Benchmark collects and analyzes the internal credit risk assessments from over 40 leading global financial institutions, including many Global Systemically Important Banks (GSIBs). - These ratings provide a comprehensive view of creditworthiness for over 100,000 entities, with 90% of these entities being otherwise unrated or private.

- Credit Indices: These are macro-level risk indicators that allow users to compare credit trends across more than 170 countries and nearly 200 industries, sectors, and sub-sectors. Over 1,200 trend-tracking, forward-looking Credit Indices are available, reflecting real-world risk views from leading financial institutions.
Security-Level Rating Assessments
- In partnership with Bloomberg, Credit Benchmark offers rating assessments (notching) for bonds and loans issued by the entities covered by Credit Consensus Ratings. This service creates security-level rating assessments for approximately 130,000 bonds and loans, amounting to over $34 trillion outstanding.

- This is a new online portal that provides over 5,000 free monthly industry- and sector-level reports. It includes credit indices, credit rating transition matrices, correlation matrices, and credit distributions to help users identify and manage risk and capital effectively. The reports offer forward-looking analyses of default risk across various geographies and industries.
Geographic Credit Risk
- Credit Benchmark’s data processing algorithms assign a consensus country of risk to each entity, allowing risk managers to assess and monitor geographic credit risk. This helps in identifying systematic differences in trends and behaviors across regions.
Integration and Access
- Credit Benchmark data is accessible via the Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise Data License, as well as through other third-party channels and data marketplaces like AWS Marketplace.
