DAACI Overview

DAACI is an innovative, AI-powered music composition and editing platform designed to revolutionize the music creation process by integrating cutting-edge technology with human artistic input.



Core Functionality

DAACI is built on over 30 years of research and a portfolio of 75 granted patents in areas such as core editing, onset detection, emotional perception, and generative AI. It is developed in collaboration with the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Artificial Intelligence and Music at Queen Mary University of London.



Meta-Composition

DAACI introduces the concept of “meta-composition,” which allows composers to encode their musical preferences and let the AI generate music based on these inputs. Unlike traditional generative AI models that analyze pre-existing music, DAACI does not rely on copyrighted works, ensuring that the music generated is original and respects artists’ rights.



Bespoke Synth Module

At the heart of DAACI’s music generation capabilities is the bespoke synth module. This module generates high-quality, coherent audio from MIDI data, functioning as a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) without any note information. It includes “sonic worlds” made up of distinct production environments, each comprising various combinations of software instruments, samplers, effects, and parameter data. This allows for the creation of musical arrangements and coherent mixes, including essential elements like routing for buses and groups, reverb, delay, group compression, and mix bus processing.



Adaptive and Assistive Tools

DAACI offers a range of tools designed to assist and empower music creators:

  • Natural Edits: A simple yet powerful tool for editing tracks for sync, particularly useful in the global sync market.
  • Natural Drums: An AI co-pilot plugin that creates drum grooves in real time, enhancing user creativity without replacing it. This plugin allows users to generate and modify drum grooves interactively.


User Control and Customization

DAACI provides different levels of control tailored to various users:

  • Content Creators: Can access a library of pre-made tracks or specify genre, mood, and instrumentation preferences through an intuitive interface.
